Introducing Lori Nelson (Vario)

Hi, I am the owner and founder of "A Simple Touch" Therapeutic Massage. I began my health related career as a Chiropractic Assistant. As my passion and knowledge grew, I pursued education and training from Southwest Institute of Healing Arts and I hold both a national and state certification as a licensed Massage Therapist (L.M.T.). I am always continuing my education and I continue to learn from my clients everyday.



The mission of "A Simple Touch" Therapeutic Massage is for my clients to enjoy a stress free and relaxing environment, receiving the full benefits from: Medical Massage, Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Lymphatic Massage, Myotherapy and/or La Stone-Hot Rocks therapy.


It's my passion in life to help others feel better and improve the quality of their lives. I invite you to let me help you relieve stress, pain and tension and live a full healthy life!

A Brief History of Massage

Massage is considered to be among the oldest of all treatments used by man. Chinese records dating back 3,000 years documented its use.The ancient Hindus, Persians and Egyptians used forms of massage for some ailments and Hippocrates wrote papers recommending the user of rubbing and friction for joint and circulatory problems. Today, massage is an accepted part of many physical rehabilitation programs and has proven beneficial to many chronic conditions such as low back pain, arthritis, bursitis and many other issues.
